As the Events and Sales Manager at Yonder Queenstown from November 2018 to December 2022, I played a major role in establishing the venue as a popular live music destination in New Zealand, hosting up-and-coming bands as well as international acts. During my tenure, I built strong relationships with promoters and other industry professionals, which helped to boost the venue's reputation in the NZ music scene.

Some of the key aspects of my role included artist and event programming, where I was responsible for managing enquires, seeking out new acts, and creating one-off special events. I also played a critical role in developing relationships with promoters, artists, partners, and brands.

Collaborating with the marketing manager, I developed effective marketing strategies that helped to increase ticket sales and drive attendance to our events. As part of my role, I also managed yearly budgeting and show budgeting, ensuring that we stayed within budget while still delivering high-quality events that met the expectations of our guests.

Ticketing was also a key responsibility, and I worked closely with our ticketing partners to ensure that the process was smooth and efficient for our guests. Overall, my time at Yonder Queenstown was incredibly rewarding, and I'm proud to have played a significant role in the venue's success.

I was responsible for organising an array of events, from international DJs to live bands. The venue had a capacity of 260 people and was well-known for its lively events.

As an integral part of the team, I was responsible for artist and event programming, managing enquires, seeking out new acts, and creating one-off special events. Additionally, I built strong relationships with promoters, artists, partners, and brands to ensure the success of our events.

Collaborating with the marketing manager, I developed effective marketing strategies to boost ticket sales and drive attendance to our events. I also managed yearly budgeting and show budgeting, ensuring that we stayed within budget while delivering high-quality events that met the expectations of our guests.

One of my major responsibilities was the management and coordination of off-site activations. For instance, I managed the Luma Lounge over the Luma Light festival in Queenstown Gardens, which attracted 50,000 people annually. The activation was a licensed area consisting of six bars in 2019, including brand activations from Emerson's, Bushmills, Macs, and Corona, as well as our own bars and food vendors. I oversaw the full health and safety planning, costing projections, stock ordering, financial report post-event, full theming of the area, and organizing and managing a team of 20 people.

Overall, my time at The World Bar Queenstown was exciting and challenging, and I'm proud to have played a major role in organising successful events that created unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Event Manager | Shucka | 2020 - 2023:

I've managed multiple shows at hired venues with capacities of up to 600 people, including The Memorial Hall, QT, AJ Hackett Bungy Center, and Lake Wanaka Center. My responsibilities included liquor license applications, bar operations, staffing, and event budgeting. Working with the promoter to create the best possible experience for the guests.
